The first half of the book was way too boring and dragged out. After that, it rapidly got better, to the point that I'm now considering reading the next one in the series.
And I really appreciate how well the Slavic mythology was handled. (Not sure what to think of the vocabulary, though. Saying 'dvor' and 'izba' in the middle of an English sentence just sounds... unnecessary.
